Dinnseanchas on Tour: On Inishbofin

This autumn, Hometree's eco-arts project Dinnseanchas embarks on its first national tour, inviting communities across Ireland's western seaboard to explore our relationship with place through exhibitions, film, performance, and participatory creative events.

During the three days of Dinnseanchas on Inishbofin, the Community Hall will be transformed into An Scioból (the barn), a place of encounter and exchange hosting an interactive exhibition, workshops, talks and performances. Everyone is welcome to visit for look, a chat, some cake and a cuppa.

Central to An Scioból will be the ongoing work by Jennifer Ahearn and Zoë Rush on their creation of Legends of Inishbofin, a new artwork, being created in collaboration with the island community, which is beginning to map some of the stories of the women of Inishbofin. Dinnseanchas on Tour is a 2026 Arts Council supported touring programme bringing Hometree's acclaimed arts and nature project to communities across Ireland's western seaboard.
