Community Seed Collecting Day
Join Hometree for a hands-on day of native seed collecting! We’ll be focusing on gathering seeds from native trees, including holly, hawthorn and crab apple, to support future habitat restoration and the regeneration of native woodlands in the area. Some tree guards may also be installed on saplings in the area.
The day will be an opportunity to learn about the importance of native trees for biodiversity, discover Hometree’s work to date on the site, and hear about our plans for its future restoration.
Please note that the event takes place on rough, uneven terrain, and participants should be comfortable walking over challenging ground.
All are welcome! Come along, get involved in nature restoration, and enjoy a day outdoors with the Hometree team.
What to bring: Sturdy footwear, suitable outdoor clothing for the weather, and water.
Lunch: Vegetarian Lunch and tea/coffee provided
