We invite you to a day planting native tree saplings at moy hill farm. The day will begin at 10am and at 3.30pm we will stop for a big lunch and warm drinks.
We might plant hedge row using black and white thorn or wind breaks using willow and alder, perhaps supporting the natural succession of the little hazlewoods small hazel saplings or even a few sessile oaks. The trees we plant have come as pledges from people and companies who support the regeneration of land through well managed tree planting. There will also be doing some light jobs preparing seeds in the tunnel, like this we do what we can.
The weather is often wet, cold and wild on the hill so dress for the elements, we recommend waterproofs and wellies.
If you have a spade or friend please bring them along too.
